Tom Slaughter

Tom is long time Kansas City area coach. Former college player at Park College (Now Park University) graduating in what is rumored to be about 1850. He has coached high school volleyball at Blue Valley North (shout out to Matt Allin and Khoi Du), Blue Valley West (shout out to Terry Flynn) and is currently the head coach at Heritage Christian Academy. In club volleyball he spent many years with Team KC, had his own program, KC Jazz, for several years and now has over 18 years as a coach for the MAVS organization. Tom and his wife Rachel (also a phenomenal MAVS coach) have 5 kids spanning from college to 1st grade 🙂 3 (so far) have played for the MAVS organization for many years. Tom has a passion for mentoring athletes, honoring Christ in his actions and standards, and training athletes for the next level. His high school team has won KS State Title 6 times.
Tom currently works at Dr. Vince Clinical Research in Overland Park.
