Paul Leinen

Paul is going into his 3rd year as a head coach with MAVS. He grew up in the KC area and fell in love with the sport playing sand volleyball and then took his skills to play in indoor volleyball in college. He spent one year playing at Graceland University then transferred to Park University where he played 1 more year. After his playing career was over, he discovered his love for coaching. His passion in coaching is centered around his focus on teaching his players lessons in volleyball that translate to life. So he holds them to the high standard of being discipline, mental toughness, taking responsibility, and learning from mistakes. In his two years at MAVS, he helped his team qualify for GJNC in the Open and USA divisions. He looks forward to the years to come and the success it will bring!
