Alana Platte

Volleyball has always been a big part of Coach Alana’s life! She grew up watching her parents play in adult leagues, and attended her first volleyball camp while in first grade. She played school volleyball for 9 years and club volleyball for 7 years in her hometown of Fairbank, Iowa. She later went on to play two years collegiately at Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, Iowa. Alana started her coaching career with MAVS in 2022. Her favorite part of coaching is seeing players nail a skill in game play that they worked so hard on in practice. Alana’s coaching philosophy is centered around the importance of transferable skills such as communication, mental toughness, a positive attitude, a hard work ethic, and teamwork.
