Carrie Kempf
MAVS KC 11 Premier Head Coach
Carrie brings 12 years of club volleyball coaching experience into her 2nd season with MAVS. A former middle hitter who played through college at the University of Saint Mary, she specializes in foundational skill development and loves working with younger age divisions. Over her coaching career, she has successfully guided three teams to Nationals across the 11s, 12s, and 13s age groups.
In addition to club volleyball, Carrie is in her 6th year coaching middle school volleyball at South Valley Middle School in Liberty, MO. Her coaching philosophy centers on mastering core mechanics, building team confidence, and fostering a lifelong love for the game.
Off the court, Carrie lives in KCK with her husband, Derek. Athletics run deep in her family: her son Jeffery plays college baseball at Rockhurst University, her daughter Carlie plays volleyball at the University of Arizona, and her daughter Jayley currently plays for MAVS. She is also stepmom to two children who are passionate about soccer, and the family is rounded out by their two dogs, Charlie and Bubba.
